Rabbit In Red: Kyle Scott 'Consumed' [Interview]

I sit down to have a one-on-one with everyone's favorite film critic and author, Kyle Scott. We talk about him making the leap from film reviewer to full fledged author. What films does he draw from, what is Halloween like in the UK and yes, we even talk about his current novel Consumed. Did I mention that it is on the top 20 best sellers list for Amazon.com. All that and more on this episode of Rabbit In Red Radio.

My Review of the Book:
Consumed is the Creepshow of the written word. I know that's a bold statement, but it's true. Everyone here has read his reviews and know he is the best wordsmith on this site. Well, his working of words is even more eloquent in short story form.

There are four shorts in the book. Special Delivery,Shopping ,Kentucky Fried and Television Eye. Each story is told from a different point in the spectrum of Horror. There is the terror, the monster, the unknown and the big brother. Each story is soaked with meaningful dialogue and plots that move along smoothly.

Kyle has twisted many a real-world issues into his short is such a way that it almost seems primary and secondary at the same time. He doesn't just throw it in your face. The blending of real issues and horror are just sublime and I could see two of these shorts becoming film easily.

His writing is unique and the only thing I can liken it to is Joe Hill or Stephen King. But that feels like a understatement. He has show he's just as talented,if not more than two men I hold in very high regard. I'm certain that in the future is name will stand by theirs equally.

To entice those of you who are still on the fence about this book, here's another comparison for you. Remember when King wrote amazing short stories and collected them together? Yea, these are that good.
