Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is still just about a year away, but it looks like we’ve already gotten a good glimpse of the characters we’ll be rooting for and against when The Force Awakens hits theaters next December. How? Well, you can thank a Chinese toy manufacturer.
This leak is not as big as other Star Wars leaks, but it’s hard to top that sort of spill-all-the-beans spoilerfest. This time, though, it looks like some of the prototype action figures for the inevitable Force Awakens line of toys have leaked in some images posted to a Chinese web forum. The figures, of course, aren’t confirmed, but the fact that Hunter PR asked RebelScum to take them down seems to indicate that they’re legit.
The leaked figures include John Boyega’s Finn, Daisy Ridley’s Rey, Rey’s spherical BB-8 droid, and a mysterious masked character, believed by some to be Kylo Ren, who may be the character shown with the wonky lightsaber in the teaser. There’s also fan-favorite Chewbacca, who apparently doesn’t have a robotic hand, as was rumored previously.
