Cabin Fever Remake Lacks Substance [Review]

cabin fever remake review The Cabin Fever remake is shot well, has a decent score, nice practical effects and that is about it. What it lacks is a cast capable of acting believably and the heart that made the original fun to watch in the first place. (Exception: The actors who played the locals did a decent job.)

The roughest scene to watch in the movie is when Grim shows up with the weed. It felt like someone watch the original, then explained it to a guy who explained it to another guy and they shot it on the day from that second verbal account. That scene is the tip of the poor acting iceberg that is Cabin Fever.

Cabin Fever, as stated, is visually pleasing but lacks any substance to make it stand out from its predecessor. You would be better off to just watch the original and forget this one exists.
